Kingsley Explosion goes with a bang!

The Kingsley Explosion charity bonfire and firework display held on October 29th on the Kingsley Playing Fields was a great success.  The weather remained dry and mild, over 250 people attended the event, the bonfire was enormous (thanks to the generous supply of wood from Kingsley residents) and the fireworks were amazing. Kingsley was able to boast of a spectacular 15 minute firework display which thrilled all who were watching. Apologies were sent to all the dog owners however!

£3,000 was raised for the charity Medcare - a wonderful result which will enable Medcare to transform the lives of hundreds of Ugandan children from sickness and despondency to health and hope.

Medcare particularly wish to acknowledge and thank the following who generously contributed towards the purchase of the fireworks:

The Kingsley Parish Council, Kingsley Mill, Forresters, Horseshoe Garage, Birchdale Kennels and Cattery, Robert Gleave and Sons Ltd, Nick Mort, Delamere Fortune Palace, Cocos Playbarn, Mill Lane Garage and Hannah and Jimmy Daly.

A final thank you to all those residents who turned up on the night to support the Kingsley Explosion - I think the event lived up to its name this year! Let’s see what next year brings!
