What we do

The charities main focus is a paediatric community medical centre, Wellspring, situated in rural Uganda, caring for the health needs of half a million children. This medical centre has been developed and funded through Medcare.

To enable this development Medcare relies on the generous support of many individuals from the UK, Europe and USA, together with corporate sponsorship and donations from churches and schools in the UK.

In addition, fundraising initiatives are organised by our team of volunteers, organising events such as fashion shows, concerts, bonfire and fireworks, coffee mornings etc. The work of the charity is advertised through the website, Facebook and Twitter, and through presentations and newsletters.

How to donate...

A little money can go a long way in Uganda. The smallest donation toward the running of the Medical Centre will go a long way in saving the lives of these children. You can donate as much or a little as you wish.
